Do you have lived experience of a venous condition? For example, DVT or Varicose Veins? Or do you care for someone with a venous condition? Join the Vascular James Lind Alliance (JLA) online workshop to help decide the most important research questions on 27th September at 12.30pm. Click here to view the event flyer.
Background to the workshop:
Researchers are constantly trying to improve what is known about the best ways to treat people with vascular conditions. One of the problems with traditional approaches to medical research is that it often focuses on problems that doctors think are the most important. Quite often, these things are different from what patients, their carers and their families think are important. To address this, the project brings patients and health care professionals together, to find out and agree what are the most important areas for future research into venous conditions.
Who can join?
No previous experience is required to take part; we are keen to involve anyone with experience of venous conditions – patients, carers and other health care professionals.
What happens at the workshop?
Join an open discussion and help decide what are the ‘top ten’ most important venous condition related research questions that we should focus on. The questions to be discussed are based on questions that patients and health care professionals previously submitted to this project.
