SWHSI-2: Assessing the clinical and cost effectiveness of negative pressure wound therapy for surgical wounds healing by secondary intention.
The second webinar in the Evidence for Wound Care series will give you some background to a current National Institute of Health and Social Care; (NIHR)-funded randomised controlled trial in wound care, SWHSI-2 (Surgical Wounds by Secondary Intention – 2).
In this session, we will briefly consider the existing evidence base for negative pressure in the treatment pathway for surgical wounds healing by secondary intention, discuss why the clinical community should support this study and provide an overview of the study design and progress.
This session is relevant to all health professionals with an interest in wound care and especially those who are currently working at participating study sites.
