The feedback from the National Wound Care Strategy Programme’s Pressure Ulcer Recommendations and Clinical Pathway consultation has been outlined in the latest issue of Wounds UK.
In the update, Pressure Ulcer Clinical Lead, Jacqui Fletcher describes the key themes included in the survey responses. She also addresses questions asked by the participants, which include people with wounds and their carers in addition to respondents from acute and community trusts, general practice, care homes, commercial companies and commissioning organisations.
Alongside a Pressure Ulcer Best Practice Bundle (which is currently under development in partnership with the Nursing Directorate and Patient Safety Team), the Pressure Ulcer Recommendations and Clinical Pathway work aims to reduce pressure ulcers and the harm associated with them to improve patient outcomes and experiences of care.
